About Stage North
It is Stage North’s mission to provide theatrical entertainment of the highest quality to the Peace River region. As well, we provide learning opportunities in theatre, both onstage and backstage to the youth of the region to promote their involvement in the performing arts.
Stage North Theatre Society is a volunteer based organization located in the energetic city of Fort St. John, BC. - In the heart of the Peace. We have a core group of over 50 members who create 3-4 dramatic presentations each year.
Since 1977, Stage North has produced quality theatre entertainment for the area and introduced career opportunities for young people. As part of our productions, we regularly host workshops in acting, directing, lighting, sound, set design, and costuming to help volunteers learn skills that they can then use in other activities in the community.
Stage North Theatre Society is a registered non profit society and a member club of Theatre BC. Through our membership in Theatre BC, Stage North receives training through local workshops and at provincial presentations like Mainstage and the regional Theatre BC Play festival that is held locally each spring.
